Would it be shallow to state that I'd like to date a man who drives a really expensive car? Maybe, but consider this: that statement contains (1) an impossibility, because I could never picture myself dating a "man" (possibly a "guy" or a "dude" or "transgender"), (2) an anachrasism, because nobody "dates" anybody anymore in the definition of going on various dates and then leaving their ass behind and living a normal life, you have to "go out" with people which means being around them 24/7 and surrendering your personality to be molded into a single gelationous "couple", co-dependant just as a parasite and host, and (3) a trick statement, because I bet even if I did "date" a "man" who drove a really expensive car, it would probably be a souped up PT Cruiser, or one of those stupid new jeeps that looks like a big box, or a renovated ice cream truck.
