I did a hella lotta work tonight. As you can see, it's 3am, and I've just completed ALL my french homework.
This semester I've been freaking out because I've had a workload like never before, while retaining my usual low motivation to do this work. But I was also conflicted because I really do care about how I do in my French classes. I WANT to learn, and I don't want my teachers to think I'm stupid. So staying up this late writing out paragraphs phonetically hasn't been so bad. In fact it was kind of fun because my 3 apartment-mates were up doing homework too. I even thought about this must be what college is like to everyone else who does their work, and how I would miss it, but then I realized if I ever do become a translator I'll probably be doing the same thing.
Anyway.
Yeah, this entry is pointless, but you have to know me to understand how much of a victory for me this is, because normally I would just skip class and/or fail, and I'm not even exaggerating.
It's not all good news, though. I had a science midterm I put off studying for, and like studied for 1/3 of it today but then I had to do French and well...yeah. I'm going to fail that midterm. Bad move on my part. But you know, I don't even remember what I studied. Studying wouldn't have helped. Luckily, there's two other tests and some other stuff, so. I'll learn from this. LESSON: DON'T DRAW ON YOURSELF IN SCIENCE INSTEAD OF TAKING NOTES, OR FAILURE WILL BE YOUR MIDDLE NAME.
